Harold Gordon Smitherman

Harold Gordon Smitherman taken from us on 24th December 1995 aged 82. Plumber by trade but could put his hand to anything. Born in Luton Road Chatham then went onto live in Princes Avenue Walderslade where he built a home for his family sometimes not getting home till late in the evening where he had gone there straight from his own job .
He was
1 of 5 children 3 brothers Norman Lenoard and Colin 1 sister Constance born to Stanley and Ethel Smitherman a father to Maureen Terence and Malcolm and a wonderful grandad to Michelle,Shane and Kim and great grandad to Daniel Gareth Ben Danny Steven Courtney Shelby Sophie-leaigh George Brandon and baby Eddie some of which were not lucky enough to meet him and a wonderful father in-law to Colin Deliah and Eva.

. Passed away at allsaints Hospital Chatham after a long illness . Grandad meant the world to all of us he was one in a million he was always there for us when we needed him and nothing was ever to much trouble for him he was a fantastic listener and never judged anyone always praised us up for what we did he was a dad & grandad in a million and is missed by us all there is not a day that goes by that we dont think about him or he comes into our conversation he was our rock the man that we all ran to when times were tough . We all have our own fond memorys of him one which his great-grandson Daniel remembers was when ever we visited he always gave him chocolate buttons what he got in especally for him to have while he was there .
